Information about our customers is an important part of our business, and as such, it is received and held in the strictest confidence. Any personal information you supply will be to enable us to respond to your requests, communicate with you about new Jacana Media titles, revisions and special promotions, and to facilitate postage and delivery of products ordered We will not release your personal information to any third party unless legally obliged to do so.

As Jacana Media employs subsidiary agents to perform functions, such as postage and delivery, these agents will only have access to the personal information required to fulfill these specific functions and may not use this information for any other purpose.

How to Purchase
Books may be purchased via this web site and all major credit cards are accepted. Kindly follow the instructions on purchasing.

Price and Availability
Most of out titles can be purchased from South African bookshops throughout the country. Titles on this website are priced excluding postage and packaging. The postage and packaging charge is calculated and added to the total purchase at the virtual checkout.

From time to time books may be out of stock in which case this will be indicated on the display page. In the event that you do order a book that is out of stock we will contact you to  notify you when we expect to have that book in stock and offer you the right to cancel your order.

The expected publication dates are listed on the display page along with the book's description, if you order a book before the publication date the book will be despatched immediately it arrives in stock.

Methods of Payment
In addition to credit card purchases we accept the following methods of payment:

· Direct deposits
· Bank guaranteed cheques

Cash, direct deposits and bank guaranteed cheque payments must be settled before we can dispatch your order. Please contact our sales department for more information.

All orders will be processed manually. There is no risk of your details being accessed over the internet as we also use a secure e-commerce service provider. Your payment details may also be sent to us either by phone or fax. Please refer to Privacy Policy for more information.

Delivery
Delivery time depends on where you live, we will endeavour to deliver your order within a few days to major urban areas or within a week to smaller towns. Please ensure that there is somebody at the delivery address to receive your order. Postal deliveries may take longer.

Delivery to other parts of the Southern African region and the rest of the world are air-freighted and posted as soon as we have the order but delays may occur in the postal system.

Cancellation and Returns
Should you wish to cancel or return your order for any reason whatsoever, please contact our sales division who will gladly assist you. Cancellation and return requests must be in writing addressed to:

In the event that your order has already been despatched you will be required to return the order within 14 days in the original packing and will be liable for the freight cost. Refunds will only be made after receipt of the returned order.
